Root Canal

A root canal is a dental procedure used to treat infection or damage inside a tooth by removing its soft inner tissue, called pulp.

The pulp contains nerves and blood vessels and can become inflamed due to decay, trauma, or repeated dental work. During the procedure, the dentist cleans and disinfects the root canals, then fills and seals them to prevent reinfection. This helps save the natural tooth, relieve pain, and restore function. Root canal treatment is common, safe, and often followed by placing a crown for added protection.
