A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth to adjacent natural teeth or implants.
It typically consists of crowns on either side of the gap (called abutments) and a false tooth (pontic) in between. Bridges restore chewing function, maintain facial shape, and prevent remaining teeth from shifting. They can be made from porcelain, metal, or a combination of materials, and are cemented in place for long-term stability. Dental bridges are a common solution for tooth loss when implants or removable dentures are not preferred.
